Bertil Klintfält Principal/ Director
Mechanical Engineer Technologist (DipMech) with over 40 years experience in Building Services and Mechanical Systems. He has been designing siphonic systems for over 25 years and was the founder of Ultraflow Siphonics in Australia. He has been the sole agent for the original siphonic system, the Scandinavian based UV System, and is regarded by his peers as one of the world’s most experienced siphonic designers.
Mathew Klintfält Director
Mechanical Engineer; BEng (Hons), BBus, Dip Eng Prac
Mathew has been working with siphonic systems for over six years and completed a thesis on Siphonic Roof Drainage focusing. During his time at Ultraflow, he has developed the new series of siphonic outlets and driven the company in a new direction. Experiencing new growth under his leadership, Ultraflow is securing its place in the Australian market and cementing strong ties with industry heavyweights. His wealth of experience in building services offers Ultraflow a key ability to fully integrate their system into any building large or small. Since July 2008 Mathew has had a passion for the development of the young engineering community and has been an active committee member of CIBSE YEN (Charter Institute of Building Service Engineers, Young Engineers Network), steering the organization towards a strong member base of building services engineers.
Dr. Per Sommerhein External Consultant (UV-System)
Siphonic systems were invented in 1968 by Mr Olavi Ebeling in Finland. Per Sommerhein with over 40 years experience in Siphonic systems is the co-developer of the original siphonic system – the UV-System – and has been working with Bertil for the last 25 years. He is author of many technical papers on the topic of siphonic roof drainage and recognized as the foremost expert on siphonic systems worldwide.
Matthew Swan Installation Manager
Certificate 4 Plumbing, licenced plumber, drainer, gas fitter and PolyFusion welder with over 16 years trade experience on commercial projects in NSW, ACT, QLD and the UK. Matthew is at the backbone of Ultraflow’s construction division, having installed most of the siphonic systems in NSW over the last 7 years. His eye for detail and understand of the dynamics of such a system has made his installations a site to behold. He has project managed plumbing contracts up to the value of $2 million including all aspects of plumbing including fire and civil. He also maintains a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
